Yesterday marked the much anticipated arrival of my friend Annie to my city. I was a little late getting to the airport, but savvy international traveller that she is, Annie just calmly waited for me to pick her up. Upon arrival at my house, I made short work of the suitcases that she brought. It was like Christmas morning but better because most of the stuff was for me. HA! Thank you to everyone who sent goodies! After examining all the loot, Deborah and I decided to do a major overhaul of our kitchen and pantry area to make room for all the food and make sure it was safe from the ants that have declared war on our imported foods. While we worked, Annie took a much needed nap as she only slept 9 out of the previous 48 hours. Another friend came over for dinner, and we officially celebrated Annie arrival with a Mexican fiesta. It's Sunday now and we're making plans for the rest of the week. It should be a fun time with lots of squirreling. Annie is getting a head start on the squirrel action by telling me it's not that hot here. Clearly she still knows how to get me wound up.

Thank you Mom, Dad, Sister, Annie, Jeana, Meleah, Martha, Nancy, Barb,
Remle, and Clayton for all the great stuff! |
