Yesterday was World Heritage Day here in the city so all the local heritage sites were open for free to the public. Some friends and I went to visit Humayun's Tomb. This tomb was commissioned by the wife of the Mughal Emperor Humayun after he died. Much of the Mughal architecture which followed, including the Taj Mahal, is modeled after the tomb. We went in the early evening, and it was beautiful. The weather was nice, and the crowd was small. All in all, a nice day. Enjoy the pics.
